In the book of Genesis, we find that God created all the creatures with his word except man. On the sixth day, God created man in his own likeness. God’s plan for man was successful while he formed Adam with dust and made him alive with the blow of His spirit. This man became a living being.
God formed man with love, passion, anger and free will etc. God asked us to be wise while we use our anger. As we all will stand before the judgement so we need to learn more about the nature of anger that exists in us.
The word of God is our best teacher to teach about anger and its various impacts on our lives. Let us read the Bible verses which will enable us to have the proper mindset concerning anger.
Psalm 37:8(KJV)“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil”
Explanation:- The man of God should avoid extreme anger which causes a negative impact in his life. Because when we get angry with friends, we tend to commit mistakes and such mistakes can lead us against the Lord. We must be careful concerning our emotions while we are getting angry at others.
James 1:19-20(KJV)“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God”
Explanation:- We should speak less but we need to give our ear to others when they talk around us. People who talk a lot always come in contact to face the temptation to fight with their opponent. But we need to give our best to hear from others so we can understand those things clearly.
Ephesians 4:31-32(KJV)“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”
Explanation:- We are the children of the highest God and we all have one goal that is to earn eternal Life by spending our righteous life on this earth. We must give up all kinds of bitterness and jealousy which causes trouble in our midst. We should remember that we are called for a special purpose by which we will win this world.
Matthew 5:22(KJV)“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire”
Explanation:- Jesus teaches us that we need to love our enemies as well as we must give attention to our brother who might make some mistakes but we need to love them and we have to forgive them because Jesus forgives our sins. If we keep their mistakes in our hearts and try to give them a lesson then we will violate the will of God and we have to fall into the temptation because God will judge each of us by our works.
Proverbs 14:17(KJV)“He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated”
Explanation:- A man who gets angry easily is always making mistakes. If we overcome the world with the word of God then we will get the wisdom that will help us to understand the truth. God has planned for us many beautiful things and by obeying the word of God we will be able to overcome the spirit of anger which leads us to destruction.
