It’s essential to remember that our time on this earth is fleeting. The world we inhabit is but a temporary abode, and beyond it lies an eternal realm. Here, the righteous will be united in everlasting harmony with the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus himself spoke of the ultimate fate of the unrighteous, foretelling that they would be cast into the lake of fire, a somber reminder of the choices we must make in this life.
Scripture enlightens us about the presence of a darker force, with the Bible painting Satan as the ruler of this world. He attempts to lead people astray, luring them away from the path of righteousness. Yet, the Lord, in His infinite wisdom and love, grants us the freedom of choice. We can choose the path of light or be ensnared by Satan’s deceit. Accepting Jesus often comes with its own set of challenges. This choice can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, alienation from society, or even our own families.
Facing such adversities, it’s comforting to recall that Jesus himself was persecuted before us. When we encounter hardship or feel the sting of betrayal, it is crucial to remember that Jesus faced the same. The Lord urges us to resist vengeance, asking instead to place our trust in Him. In essence, the trials and tribulations we encounter aren’t just our own; they are shared with Jesus, our ever-present guide and protector.
Why Does God Carry Our Burdens?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
In this profound statement, we’re reminded that we are molded in God’s image. We aren’t mere mortals wandering aimlessly; we are children of the divine, cherished and loved deeply.
God’s boundless love for us is evident in every facet of creation. He crafted the universe, the stars, the earth, and all its wonders just for us. It was the tragic fall of Adam and Eve, their act of disobedience, that caused a rift, distancing mankind from the divine.
This rift, caused by Adam’s misjudgment, separated humanity from the embrace of the Lord. Yet, hope was not lost. Jesus, in his boundless love and compassion, descended upon the earth, taking human form to bridge that chasm. By sacrificing himself, he paved the way for our reunion with the Creator.
Why Did God Send Us on This Earth?
God’s intention in creating us was profound; we were made with a distinct purpose in mind. That purpose is to illuminate His name, to spread His teachings and love through our actions and words. Scripture reminds us of the benevolent designs the Lord has for us, enriching our lives in numerous ways.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
From the divine words of Scripture, we find solace in the understanding that God’s plan for us is always one of boundless love, guiding us toward a future filled with hope. In our earthly journey, we inevitably encounter trials and tribulations, yet it is in these very challenges that we draw nearer to the embrace of the Almighty.
Indeed, it is within the crucible of life’s struggles that God’s design becomes most evident. These trials are not meant to break us but to fortify our spirits, preparing us to face the temptations that seek to ensnare us. The Lord, our ever-faithful Shepherd, does not abandon us in our hour of need; rather, He lovingly bears the weight of our burdens upon His mighty shoulders.
Remember, dear brethren, we are created to be vessels of His glory, vessels that shine His radiant light through our words and deeds, so that the world may come to know the majesty of the Lord.
Why Is There Pains and Suffering in the world?
At times, we may find ourselves questioning why we, the children of God, must endure pain and suffering in this world while we worship the one true living God. Such doubts can cast shadows upon our faith, yet it is precisely during these moments of doubt that our faith is tested and refined like precious gold in the fires of adversity.
Consider the lives of the faithful throughout the annals of the Bible, and you will discover a common thread of trials and tribulations woven into their stories. Despite the countless challenges they faced, they emerged victorious because God never forsook them. Their enduring faith served as a testament to the unwavering love and grace of our Heavenly Father.
Let us not forget that it is God who permits us to tread the path of trials, knowing that our faith is strengthened through our choices. The Scriptures remind us that it is our own desires that can lead us into temptation, but rest assured, God, who knows us intimately, will never burden us with more than we can bear.
Another aspect to consider is that as followers of Jesus, we become adversaries to the world and its ruler, Satan. When we walk in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior, we should not be surprised when the world opposes us, for it opposed Him first. Jesus, in His earthly sojourn, left us a profound example that this world is but a temporary dwelling, and we are destined for a greater, eternal home.
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you”. (John 15:18-19)
God is a Promise keeper
The life of the apostle Paul serves as a poignant lesson in this regard. Although he did not directly persecute Jesus, the risen Christ questioned him on the road to Damascus, asking, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:4). This striking revelation reminds us that when the world persecutes us, it is, in essence, persecuting our Lord. Our pains and sufferings, therefore, are offerings unto Him.
(Ephesians 6:12) From this verse, we gain insight into the nature of our struggle. Our true adversary is not humanity but the spiritual forces of darkness. To engage in this battle, we must stand firm in the strength of the Lord, knowing that in the end, we shall inherit an everlasting abode. God’s promise to never forsake us remains a steadfast beacon, guiding us through the storms of life and leading us toward the shores of eternal life.
