If we put our faith on Jesus, then he will give us the strength to overcome our battles.Faith and strength is important for the upliftment of our Christian life.
Faith renews our strength, it is one of the great benefits of faith. When faithlessness fills our lives with fear and worry to make us weak, Faith on God reemerges us and strengthens us.
Now God has given us free will to choose the life we want, but we must know that our choice will bring consequence. Faith in God has amazing power to destroy all weaknesses and strengthen us to achieve great things for God.
You should know that our outward expression is always a result of internal factors. So, if you feel spiritually weak then it must remind you that your faith in God must be reestablished.
Remember God never promised us to give a spirit of timid and weakness rather he has promised in the Bible that he will give us a spirit of Power and freedom.
Deuteronomy 31:6(KJV)“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”
Explanation :- Moses was the leader who took the nation Israel out of Egypt but when he was old the lord called Joshua to lead his people in the promised land. At that time the Jews were afraid so Moses encouraged them to be brave because they will inherit the lands under the guidance of Joshua.
Deuteronomy 20:4(KJV)“For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you”
Explanation :- This message was given to Israel while they were about to go to the battle field. The lord reminded them that they should not fear their enemies because though they might find they are unable to fight against them but the lord will fight to save them.
Exodus 15:2(KJV)“The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him”
Explanation :- The Pharaoh and his chariots with chosen captions were cast into the Red sea while they were chasing Israel. It was such a wonderful work of the lord to save his children. Moses and the entire Israel experienced the mighty hand of the lord. This miraculous act led Moses to praise the name of the lord.
Psalm 119:28(KJV)“My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word”
Explanation :- King David realized that he had gone away from the lord. So, he urged the lord to revive him again graciously to get strength. He understood that his ways moved him away from the presence of the lord. That is why he seeked the presence of the lord in his life.
1 Chronicles 16:11(KJV)“Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually”
Explanation :- After placing the Ark in the Tabernacle David asked his people to glorify the name of the lord among the nations. On that day David gave a burnt offering and peace offering. He also appointed some Levites to take care of the Ark. He sang a Thanksgiving song to his people by saying to seek God’s face continually.
2 Timothy 1:7(KJV)“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”
Explanation :- As Timothy was a young man so Paul encouraged him to engage himself to extend the kingdom of God. Paul said he was eager to meet him to talk face to face. Timothy received the gospel so Paul reminded him to preach it into the nation.
1 Corinthians 16:13(KJV)“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong”
Explanation :- To the Corinthians Paul encouraged them to be faithful and steadfast in their faith. As they were the new believers so it was obvious for them to give up the faith at any time. Paul taught them to be faithful till their last breath to enter in heaven.
Isaiah 40:29(KJV)“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength”
Explanation :- Sometimes we feel that we are very weak and we have no hope in our life. But if we seek the power from the lord we will definitely get it. Because he gives strength to those who are weak and submit your life to him. If we seek such kind of power then we have to surrender our life before him.
2 Thessalonians 3:2(KJV)“And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith”
Explanation :- The lord alone is God who made the universe and all the things in it. He knows us and he thinks for us. If we believe him then he will strengthen us to overcome all the trials that we will face.
Isaiah 41:10(KJV)“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”
Explanation :- The lord said that we should not fear. Here, fear means we should not fear any man. But we should fear the lord alone. If he walks with the lord, then he will definitely strengthen us.
Joshua 1:9(KJV)“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”
Explanation :- After the death of Moses , the lord used Joshua to lead the Israelites. The lord encouraged Joshua to be brave so that he can fight against their enemies to obtain the promised land.
Philippians 4:13(KJV)“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
Explanation :- Paul said that there are so many things we cannot do by our own strength but if we take the name of the Lord Jesus we can move all our trials. He said that he can do everything by Christ Jesus because he is the one who strengthened him. So in the same manner if you depend on the Lord Jesus Christ then we are also able to do so.
Psalm 27:1(KJV)“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid”
Explanation :- The lord is our light too. We are all in a dark world so we need the light to see the world. We have to depend on the lord. He will guide us that eventually leads us into heaven.
Zechariah 10:12(KJV)“And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord”
Explanation :- The lord can change all our sorrows into joy. He can move the mountains if we trust him. He is the creator of this world so it is possible for him to fight our battle. He will provide all our needs in the right time.
Psalm 146:3(KJV)“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help”
Explanation :- We should not trust human beings whose strength is limited. But if we trust the lord, we will see his mighty presence in our lives. we should not seek help from the people but we should seek help from the lord because he is faithful and he knows all our deeds so if we ask our needs unto him then we should be assured that we will get it.
Psalm 62:2(KJV)“He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved”
Explanation :- Those who do not know the lord that depend on people or money. But if you look at king David we can see that in spite of being rich and wealthy he used to depend on the Lord. He proclaimed that the lord is the rock.
Daniel 10:19(KJV)“And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me”
Explanation :- The Lord had done miracles in Daniel’s life. The lord delivered him from the lion’s den. Today we are worshipping the same lord who had done many miracles and he never changes. we have to be courageous and at the same time we have to depend on him to receive the heavenly power to fight against the satan.
Psalm 27:14(KJV)“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord”
Explanation :- When we find ourselves weak, we should approach the Lord. He knows all our weaknesses and he will strengthen us because he loves us. we should not fair the world and the things of the world but we should only fear the Lord. The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. If we fear him we will gain wisdom which will help us to live on this earth.
Isaiah 12:2(KJV)“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation”
Explanation :- The Lord is our strength and he will protect us from all kinds of evil. We should trust him and his promises. The lord wants us to rely upon him and he will lead us in the path of righteousness. We do not know what the future holds for us but he knows our future so it would be best for us to follow him.
Isaiah 41:13(KJV)“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee”
Explanation :- The lord had shown his mercy upon Israel many times but still they left their God and turned toward the idols. But the Lord forgave them all the time so that they can repent their sins. The lord says that he will lift them up by his mighty hand. He also assured them not to fear because he is their protector.
