Hello dear friends, welcome to our site in the name of Jesus Christ. Today we will look at the Bible Scriptures About Selfish Ambition In KJV. If you like today’s post then definitely comment and share.
The Bible teaches us that selfish ambition can lead us down a path that is not in line with God’s will. Selfish ambition is like a fire that only consumes, but never warms. It can make us focus only on our desires, neglecting the needs and well-being of others. As believers, we are called to love and serve our neighbors, not trample over them in pursuit of our personal goals.
Friends, Imagine a tree. If a tree only takes in sunlight and water but never produces any fruit, it’s not fulfilling its purpose. Just like this, if we only focus on ourselves, we’re not fulfilling our purpose as God’s children.
In the light of divine wisdom, we’re encouraged to strive for unity, harmony, and mutual upliftment, rather than competition or dominance. The kind of ambition that God supports is one that is directed towards loving others, serving the community, and building God’s kingdom on earth. It’s like a lamp that illuminates the house and guides the inhabitants rather than blinding them.
To become less selfish, we can practice gratitude, remembering every day that everything we have comes from God. We can practice empathy, imagining ourselves in the place of others. We can also practice generosity, sharing what we have with those who have less.
So, remember to strive, but not for selfish gains. Strive instead to be kind, to be helpful, and to serve. This is the true ambition that resonates with the heart of God, an ambition that brings true joy and fulfillment. In this way, we can all grow together as a loving family under the watchful and loving eyes of our heavenly Father.
Dear friends now let’s see the Bible scriptures below that talk about Selfish Ambition.
Explanation:- We live in a sinful world that is controlled by Satan. We are running after the worldly materials which give us fleshly pleasure. We forget that we are the chosen people of God.
We need to please God instead of pleasing our fleshly desires. We are accountable to him. By remembering that we must give up our selfish nature.
Explanation:- we should be careful while we deal with other people because we are the children of the highest God so people will judge us in every single action. If we continue to think of our own benefits then we will miss the privilege to help others.
We should approach the people around us who are in need of our help. We must extend our helping hand to them.
James 3:14-16(KJV)“But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work”
Explanation:- If we say that we are Christians but we keep the jealousy and envy in our heart then we won’t be able to say so. A child of God must love his neighbors and friends so that they would know Jesus by him. we cannot claim that we are the children of living God until we give up our sinful natures.
Proverbs 21:13(KJV)“Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard”
Explanation:- If we hide our ears from the prayer of the poor man then one day a time will come when we will face the same situation. The way we will treat others, we will receive the same reward.
We cannot hide anything from the sight of the Lord. He is watching all our activities so we must be careful concerning our deeds.
Proverbs 28:27(KJV)“He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse”
Explanation:- The scripture says that if we help the poor then we will receive more blessings from the Lord. The more we share our things with poor people the more we will gain from the Lord.
Often we forget the blessings of the Lord and try to lead our life by our own understanding. The Lord says that we will be cursed if we fail to share our things with the needy.
Hebrews 13:16(KJV)“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased”
Explanation:- The Bible encourages its readers to do good works and charity so that God would be pleased and he will bless us. It is important to help others because by helping them we can actually serve God.
Jesus says that he will reward us according to our every single righteous work. We must remember that he fulfills what he promises.
Though we cannot see the judgment of the Lord in our naked eyes today, it will be at his second coming.
Philippians 2:3-4(KJV)“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others”
Explanation:- The sinful nature inspired us to become selfish in this world. In today’s time, we can see that many people are always thinking of their own. They are running to earn money only for their own stomach. They hardly think for others.
But the scripture says that we are not to live like them. We must be separated from them and have to live a righteous life that will glorify the Lord.
2 Corinthians 8:9(KJV)“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich”
Explanation:- The Lord humbled himself and came down on the earth and gave his life for the entire human race.
The unique thing that we can learn from Jesus is that he left his heavenly glory and took the form of a human being and lived with us. It’s amazing to see that being God he left everything for us so we must imitate him to please him.
He became poor for our salvation and through his blood we became righteous in the eyes of the Lord.
1 John 3:17(KJV)“But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him”
Explanation:- If we say we have love but we behave with people with our selfish nature then we should not say that we are the children of God.
We must possess the godly nature by which we can become different people. The teachings of Jesus help us to think for others. If we don’t help others then we will be thrown into the lake of fire at the final judgment
1 Corinthians 10:24(KJV)” Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth”
Explanation:- We should pray for our neighbors and friends so that the Lord may help them. Everyone has his own problem but often we fail to express ourselves before others.
We must stand beside them to extend our help hands. We need to remember that we are called to act differently in this world. This world is not our permanent dwelling place.
Instead of seeking our own profits, we must care for others. By doing so we can win the heart of the Lord.
Acts 20:35(KJV)“I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive”
Explanation:- It is good to share our things with others. If we do so then we will inherit the kingdom of God. We must be humble and faithful towards God to inherit his kingdom.
We should not expect anything from this world. But we must train our hearts to give to others. We will receive more from the Lord if we obey all the commandments of God.
Matthew 19:21-22(KJV)“Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions”
Explanation:- When a young man came to Jesus to ask about eternal life, Jesus told him to give his property to the Poor and then he will be eligible to enter heaven.
But the young man was upset and left Jesus immediately as he loved his wealth more than Jesus. Sometimes the same incident happens to us and we choose to follow the world.
