[Best] 11+Bible Verses About Selfish Ambition – KJV Scripture

Hello dear friends, welcome to our site in the name of Jesus Christ. Today we will look at the Bible Scriptures About Selfish Ambition In KJV. If you like today’s post then definitely comment and share.

The Bible teaches us that selfish ambition can lead us down a path that is not in line with God’s will. Selfish ambition is like a fire that only consumes, but never warms. It can make us focus only on our desires, neglecting the needs and well-being of others. As believers, we are called to love and serve our neighbors, not trample over them in pursuit of our personal goals.

Friends, Imagine a tree. If a tree only takes in sunlight and water but never produces any fruit, it’s not fulfilling its purpose. Just like this, if we only focus on ourselves, we’re not fulfilling our purpose as God’s children.

In the light of divine wisdom, we’re encouraged to strive for unity, harmony, and mutual upliftment, rather than competition or dominance. The kind of ambition that God supports is one that is directed towards loving others, serving the community, and building God’s kingdom on earth. It’s like a lamp that illuminates the house and guides the inhabitants rather than blinding them.

To become less selfish, we can practice gratitude, remembering every day that everything we have comes from God. We can practice empathy, imagining ourselves in the place of others. We can also practice generosity, sharing what we have with those who have less.

So, remember to strive, but not for selfish gains. Strive instead to be kind, to be helpful, and to serve. This is the true ambition that resonates with the heart of God, an ambition that brings true joy and fulfillment. In this way, we can all grow together as a loving family under the watchful and loving eyes of our heavenly Father.

James 3:14-16(KJV)“But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work”

Explanation:- If we say that we are Christians but we keep the jealousy and envy in our heart then we won’t be able to say so. A child of God must love his neighbors and friends so that they would know Jesus by him. we cannot claim that we are the children of living God until we give up our sinful natures.

Bible say about Selfishness (Proverbs 21:13)

Proverbs 21:13(KJV)“Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard”

Explanation:- If we hide our ears from the prayer of the poor man then one day a time will come when we will face the same situation. The way we will treat others, we will receive the same reward.

Explanation:- The sinful nature inspired us to become selfish in this world. In today’s time, we can see that many people are always thinking of their own. They are running to earn money only for their own stomach. They hardly think for others.

But the scripture says that we are not to live like them. We must be separated from them and have to live a righteous life that will glorify the Lord.

Explanation:- The Lord humbled himself and came down on the earth and gave his life for the entire human race.

The unique thing that we can learn from Jesus is that he left his heavenly glory and took the form of a human being and lived with us. It’s amazing to see that being God he left everything for us so we must imitate him to please him.

He became poor for our salvation and through his blood we became righteous in the eyes of the Lord.

Bible say about Selfishness (1 John 3:17)

1 John 3:17(KJV)“But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him”

Explanation:- If we say we have love but we behave with people with our selfish nature then we should not say that we are the children of God.

We must possess the godly nature by which we can become different people. The teachings of Jesus help us to think for others. If we don’t help others then we will be thrown into the lake of fire at the final judgment

Bible say about Selfishness (1 Corinthians 10:24)

1 Corinthians 10:24(KJV)” Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth”

Explanation:- We should pray for our neighbors and friends so that the Lord may help them. Everyone has his own problem but often we fail to express ourselves before others.

Explanation:- It is good to share our things with others. If we do so then we will inherit the kingdom of God. We must be humble and faithful towards God to inherit his kingdom.

We should not expect anything from this world. But we must train our hearts to give to others. We will receive more from the Lord if we obey all the commandments of God.

Bible say about Selfishness (Matthew 19:21-22)

Matthew 19:21-22(KJV)“Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions”

Explanation:- When a young man came to Jesus to ask about eternal life, Jesus told him to give his property to the Poor and then he will be eligible to enter heaven.

But the young man was upset and left Jesus immediately as he loved his wealth more than Jesus. Sometimes the same incident happens to us and we choose to follow the world.
