What Does The Bible Say Deception In The Last Days By Devil? The Bible tells us it must happen because Jesus told his disciples when his disciples wanted to know.
Dear friends, we are living in deceitful times. Many claim to speak the truth, yet spread lies. False prophets rise, luring people away from God’s path with tempting yet empty promises. They disguise themselves as messengers of light, but inwardly they harbor wickedness and deception.
Even among believers, hypocrisy abounds. Some appear devout on the outside, but inwardly wrestle with secret sins. Others profess faith with their lips, but their hearts remain far from God. Selfish ambition and love of money lead many astray.
In these last days, do not be deceived. Test every spirit to see if they are from God. Examine teachings carefully against Scripture. Be wary of those who preach a different gospel or deny God’s power. Do not follow them.
Stay rooted in Christ. Abide in God’s Word. Pray for discernment and wisdom. Walk in truth and love. Do not repay evil with evil, but overcome evil with good. Shine as lights in this dark world.
Now more than ever, put your hope in Christ alone. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Build your life on the firm foundation of Jesus. He will guide you and guard you through these deceptive times.
Dear friends, now let’s look at the Bible scriptures below that talk about deception in the last days.
Matthew 24:24-25
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before”
Christians are advised to be vigilant as the verses warn about the arising of false Christs and false prophets in the end times. These deceivers will perform great signs and wonders, potentially leading even the elect, those chosen by God, into deception. The emphasis is on the importance of discernment and maintaining steadfast faith in the face of such misleading influences.
Matthew 24:4-5
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many”
Jesus cautions his followers to be wary of deception. Many will come, claiming to be the Christ and will lead many astray. This verse serves as a reminder to discern not only the claims of individuals but also to scrutinize teachings and practices carefully.
Matthew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves”
This verse warns against false prophets who may appear harmless or genuine but harbor harmful intentions. It is a call for discernment in recognizing those who may have ulterior motives, potentially leading believers away from the path of righteousness.
1 John 4:1
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”
All the spirits are not from God. Many evil spirits are working on this earth. They are the fallen angels. They have some power to do miracles but Christians should not listen to them. They are deceivers and will come to separate the believers from God.
2 Timothy 3:13
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived”
Before the second coming of Jesus many evil men will arise and they will claim that they are Christ. Thus they will deceive people. But the Scripture reminds us to be patient till the end of Jesus’s second coming.
1 Timothy 4:1
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”
In the last days, many believers will leave from their faith. They will not stay to the Lord till the end. They will run after the false prophets who will claim themselves as Jesus. But we must be careful to identify the true Jesus. He will come on this earth just as mentioned in the scripture.
2 Corinthians 11:3
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ”
Paul expresses concern over the Corinthians. He says that the way the serpent deceived Eve, at the last time many will be deceived by the false prophets. He warned them of the consequences if they ran after them. They will be like Jesus but actually, they are not. They will come to snatch the children of God from their permanent position.
Matthew 24:11
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many”
Jesus has given the incidents that will take place in the last days. He knows that many false prophets will deceive his people. So, he warned them not to run after such prophets who will come in his name. Their main intention will be to misguide the people of God from their faith. By doing so they will cause spiritual death to the believers.
Mark 13:22
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect”
This verse warns of false Christs and false prophets performing signs and wonders to lead people astray. The emphasis is on remaining vigilant and maintaining steadfast faith and discernment to avoid being seduced by such deceptive demonstrations.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works”
Satan will try his best to separate God’s people from their faith and he will try to lead them according to his own way to destroy. Believers should be careful to choose the path while they take every step of their life.
Because at the end time many will come in the name of Christ and they will also do many miracles which might deceive believers to think of Christ.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”
Paul informs Timothy about a time when people will not endure sound doctrine, turning instead to teachings that suit their desires. This is a reminder to adhere to sound doctrine and truth, avoiding teachings that deviate from the divine truth revealed in the scriptures.
1 John 2:18
“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time”
John speaks of the presence of many antichrists, referring to those who deny the Father and the Son. It’s not exclusively about a singular individual but represents the spirit of the antichrist, emphasizing the need for vigilance and discernment in recognizing such influences.
Matthew 24:34
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled”
Jesus assures that all the prophesied events will occur within the lifespan of that generation. It is a reminder of the certainty of divine prophecy and the importance of living in accordance with God’s word, being mindful of varying interpretations of “this generation.”
Remember, these explanations are intended to be illustrative and are based on one interpretation of the Christian faith. There are diverse perspectives within Christianity, and individuals may understand and interpret these verses differently based on their beliefs, denominational teachings, and theological perspectives.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-11
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”
Revelation 13:14

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not”
Romans 16:18
“For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple”

Your explanation on
I John 2:18
“We also should be careful as we are moving forward to the last days. If we do not pay heed then we have to pay its cost in hell forever.”
Do you mean here the believers
will loose their salvation?
Yes, believers may lose their salvation if they fail to obey all the instructions of Jesus in their lives. The scripture teaches us to be faithful and obedient to the Lord till our last breath.
Even Paul has said that we are in a race and we need to run until we get the reward.
The bible was spoken by God and well written for us to use in our daily life. The reason why some Christians live defeated spiritually mentally, physically and financially because they live a double standard life. Meaning they live half Christian and half wordly or Christian on Sunday only and the rest of the week is wordly. That being said it makes them vulnerable to the devil. If all of us Christians will think that our body is a temple of God that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy spirit lives in us who will against us? But some of us are double standard they put Jesus in the closet and call Him as needed only. That’s the reason why they become easy target by the devil and deceived.
If the churches will recognize the existence and purpose of the Holy spirit, in us we can’t be deceived. Meaning learning the in depth power of the Holy Spirit and practice that in a daily lives, like I said who will against us? Did unknown or or well known sickness, diseases, that the devil put in our body to derail our faithfulness to the Lord, nor deceive us? Of course not because the power of God lives in us that makes you a bulletproof.
Thank you so much for your precious words. May God bless you.
