Dear friends, what joy it is when we say together, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
In God’s house we join as one body to worship our Heavenly Father. We lift up our voices to sing the praises of His name. We humbly bow our heads in prayer and seek His face. We listen to the message of life preached to nourish our souls.
The Lord is enthroned in our praise when we gather in His sanctuary. His presence dwells in us abundantly, filling us with awe and reverence. Here His majesty resides, transforming us with visions of eternal reality.
Leaving aside the worries and distractions of the week, we go with joy. Let us prepare to meet our Lord, opening our hearts to receive His grace. Let us take an interest in fellowship with God’s family.
As we enter the court of the Almighty, may we taste and see His goodness. May we drink deeply from the river of joy that flows from His throne. May we respond to his voice “Seek my face” with “Your face, O Lord, we will seek.”
Beloved friends, may our cry be forever, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” For one day shines like a thousand years in his radiant presence.
