“But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you“
Explanation:- Israel was the chosen nation of the Lord but in spite of God’s special blessings, they have sinned many times. The Lord made them suffer several times but God wanted them to obey all of His commandments so that they can gain life. Prophet Jeremiah was called to admonish the Israelites to be aware of the dire consequence of their disobedience.
