[Best] 25+Bible Verses About Being a Good Person

God has revealed in the Bible how a person should behave. The Bible teaches how a man can build relationships and live life so that he can receive God’s blessing. Let us now look at some verses in the Bible that a good person should observe.

Romans 12:5 “so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another”

Recognizing one another as ‘co-members’ means that a bond has already been formed between us as a part of the body of Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor”

We must be devoted to one another which means we must build a close bond of love for one another in various ways, including our deep commitment to the well-being of others. To honor one another is to value one another before God as witnesses.

Romans 12:16 “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight”

Romans 15:5 “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus”

To make us think the same way about each other means to value those who believe in God and receive His grace like us.

Romans 15:7 “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God”

Just as Jesus accepted us so we will receive one another, so that everyone may know that we are his creation.

Romans 15:14 I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another”

When we see a spiritual deviation between fellow believers, we will warn each other about it.

1 Corinthians 16:20 “All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss”

Romans 15:14  I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another”

We will greet one another with “holy kisses” (2 Corinthians 13:12; 1 Peter 5:14). This means that we value each other’s presence in a way that is acceptable to God.

John 13:14 “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet”

Galatians 5:13 “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another”

Just as the Lord Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, so we will serve one another with honor.

Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves”

We will consider others more important or valuable than ourselves.

Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”

We will bear one another’s burdens which means we will work to alleviate the suffering or temptations of sin that come into their lives.

Ephesians 4:2 “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love”

Colossians 3:13 “bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive”

We will carry one another which means we will be tolerant of each other in any matter.

Ephesians 5:21 “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ”

We will present the subject of one another to God, which means we will pray for the subject of others more than ourselves.

We will encourage one another, meaning we will help our brothers and sisters in spiritual and other matters when they are weak or in trouble (Romans 1:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:18; 5:11; Hebrews 3:13; 10:25).

We will always live in peace with one another (Mark 9:50). This means we will never do anything that will hurt our siblings so much.

We will confess our sins to one another (James 5:16). Confessing this sin involves asking forgiveness for those who have done wrong to us and fixing the damage to the relationship.

We will pray for one another (James 5:16).

We will forgive one another as the Lord has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13).

We will always wish each other well, which means we will always strive for others to have a close relationship with God (1 Thessalonians 5:15).

We will love one another and encourage good works (Hebrews 10:24). This is why you should always think about how you can help others and ask them to do good deeds.

We will always wait for each other with interest (1 Corinthians 11:33), which tells us to do everything we can to have a happy relationship with other believers.

To be sympathetic to one another means to get rid of all bitterness, anger, and the thought of harming others (Ephesians 4: 31-32).

We will take care of each other (1 Corinthians 12:25), which means we will take care of the other members of the body of the Lord Jesus.

We will be hospitable to one another (1 Peter 4: 9). We welcome newcomers to our Christian family.

We will be humble toward one another, reflecting our right attitude toward one another (1 Peter 5: 5).

We will build up one another with love (Romans 14:19, 1 Thessalonians 5:11), which will include encouragement and guidance for one another.
